Amanda Gray
Dietitian

Start where you are.  Use what you have.  Do what you can” – Arthur Ashe.

Amanda graduated locally at the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2012.  She been fortunate enough to have a very diverse life as a dietitian.  She started her career as a sole practitioner in a small mining town in northwest QLD.  From here she spent time consulting for major mining companies.  After 12 months she moved her private practice to Brisbane where she consulted throughout the city and Ipswich specialising in weight loss, food allergies and intolerances, diabetes and bowel conditions.

In 2016 Amanda moved back to the Sunshine Coast and changed her line of work into the aged care industry where she still works part – time.  Amanda is passionate about providing the best care for our ageing population and thoroughly enjoys working within this demographic.  After completing a graduate certificate in diabetes management, Amanda spends a lot of time working with clients living with diabetes.

Alongside her passion for aged care, and since becoming a mother, Amanda has become increasingly interested in childhood nutrition with a special interest in behavioural conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).  She is also passionate about the gut-brain connection and has her own personal journey involving gut and microbiome health.
